Trick one:
Two wedding rings are borrowed from a "married couple" in the audience...The rings are both locked onto a combination padlock.
The audience members are allowed to try too open the lock but it will be to no avail.
The magician then asks the couple the year in which they were married and has them dial the four digits into the combination which has not left their hands at any stage....the lock opens and the rings are freed!
Trick two:
The magician hands out a brass combination lock and asks the spectator to try and open it. After a few tries the spectator cannot open the lock.
Then the magician, without touching the lock or knowing the spectators birthday asks the spectator to enter the year he or she was born.
The spectator goes on to open the lock using his or hers birthday or they could use their mum or dads birth year....the lock opens!!
