These Top Hats are made using a full steel spring mechanism like the best quality German Top Hats which used to be sold decades ago. They are not plastic or board top Hats which stops functioning after a few uses. If you could get a Top HAt of this type today, you would pay at least six times as much for a second hand Top Hat as we charge for a mint new peice.
