The performer asks a member of the audience to help with an effect. He is to open a fan and fan the performers hand and a miracle will happen. The performer opens the fan several times in order to show the spectator how to perform the 'magical' passes etc.
The spectator opens the fan but it breaks into many separate pieces. The performer admonishes the spectator, saying that the fan is a rare collectable and should be treated with respect. The performer again opens the fan which opens perfectly. Handing the fan to the hapless spectator, he is unable to open it properly, each blade of the fan falling apart again.
This is a classic comedy routine performed tongue and cheek. The spectator has fun and the audience has fun as the comedy continues. Beautiful Oriental fan which is under your complete control. Almost self-working.
